WEEK 29


The Singles Chart

After 7 weeks on top of the summit, Rob Simonsen is knocked off by Bleacher's Keeping A Secret. This is Bleacher's 2nd #1 for 2018 after spending 4 weeks on top with their other original song from the Love, Simon soundtrack Alfie's Song (Not So Typical Love Song). There are 2 new entries sneaking in to the Top 10, Troye Sivan's Bloom and Rob Simonsen's Love, Simon sneaking in at #8 and #9 respectively. Biggest climber of the week belongs to Jess & Matt's cover of Sound of Silence which is up 12 spots to #17.

There are 5 new entries into the chart this week. The Hot Shot Debut honour belongs to Rob Simonsen who makes his 3rd appearance on the chart this week with another track from the Love, Simon score Car Confessions. Rob has already claimed a #1 this year with Simon and Blue (7 weeks at #1 and currently at #2 in its 16th week) and as previously stated his other track Love, Simon is at #9 in its 4th week.


Debuting one spot beneath Rob Simonsen at #42 is another film composer Takatugu Murutsu with the track Mary's Theme taken from the anime Mary and the Witch's Flower. This is Murutsu's first appearance on the charts. The album currently sits at #5 on the album chart.


Debuting at #48 is former Eurovision participant Sergey Lazarev. He has teamed up with DJ Miller for his latest English track Stand By Me. This is Sergey's 3rd entry on the chart. He previously charted with his Eurovision entry You Are My Only One (#1) and Lucky Stranger (#4)


Debuting at #49 with his 5th chart entry is former One Directioner Niall Horan. His new single Finally Free is lifted from the soundtrack to the upcoming animated Big Foot feature Small Foot featuring the voices of Channing Tatum and James Corden. Niall's previous entries have included This Town (#4), Too Much To Ask (#4), Slow Hands (#17) and On The Loose (#26)

The final new entry appears at #50 and is by another former Eurovision participant Donny Montell. He has teamed up Radistai DJs for his latest song Don't You Know. This is Donny's 6th entry on the chart after finding success with I've Been Waiting For This Night (#1), Fly (#1), Screw Me Up (#3), Move Your Body (#8) and Love Is Blind (#40)

The Albums Chart

After returning to the top last week, the soundtrack to Love, Simon holds on for a 2nd week (and it's 12th in total). Celine Dion moves up two spots with her current Greatest Hits package. The chart is stable this week with no new debuts.
