Week 29 2018 Chart Commentary

WEEK 29 The Singles Chart After 7 weeks on top of the summit, Rob Simonsen is knocked off by Bleacher's Keeping A Secret . This is Bleacher's 2nd #1 for 2018 after spending 4 weeks on top with their other original song from the Love, Simon soundtrack Alfie's Song (Not So Typical Love Song) . There are 2 new entries sneaking in to the Top 10, Troye Sivan's Bloom and Rob Simonsen's Love, Simon sneaking in at #8 and #9 respectively. Biggest climber of the week belongs to Jess & Matt's cover of Sound of Silence which is up 12 spots to #17. There are 5 new entries into the chart this week. The Hot Shot Debut honour belongs to Rob Simonsen who makes his 3rd appearance on the chart this week with another track from the Love, Simon score Car Confessions . Rob has already claimed a #1 this year with Simon and Blue (7 weeks at #1 and currently at #2 in its 16th week) and as previously stated his other track Love, Simon is at #9 in its 4th week.

Week 27 2018 Chart Commentary

WEEK 27 The Singles Chart Rob Simonsen spends a 6th week at the top of the charts with his track Simon and Blue from the Love, Simon soundtrack. Meanwhile the biggest climbers in the Top 10 are Backstreet Boys, up 3 spots to #5 with their comeback track Don't Go Breaking My Heart . While The Bleachers earn their 3rd Top 10 hit of the year by jumping 5 spots to #6 with their Love, Simon track Keeping A Secret. The biggest gainer of the week also belongs to a track from Love, Simon , the title score track from Rob Simonsen, up 10 spots to #24 3 tracks make their debut this week on the charts. The highest new entry belongs to Jess & Matt who land at #41 with their cover of The Sound Of Silence which features guest vocals from Chris Isaak. This is Jess & Matt's 4th entry on the chart and comes on the heels of their Top 10 hit from earlier in the year The Times They Are A-Changing (#6 21wks). Both are from their new album of covers which was released a couple
