WEEK 27

The Singles Chart

Rob Simonsen spends a 6th week at the top of the charts with his track Simon and Blue from the Love, Simon soundtrack. Meanwhile the biggest climbers in the Top 10 are Backstreet Boys, up 3 spots to #5 with their comeback track Don't Go Breaking My Heart. While The Bleachers earn their 3rd Top 10 hit of the year by jumping 5 spots to #6 with their Love, Simon track Keeping A Secret. The biggest gainer of the week also belongs to a track from Love, Simon, the title score track from Rob Simonsen, up 10 spots to #24

3 tracks make their debut this week on the charts. The highest new entry belongs to Jess & Matt who land at #41 with their cover of The Sound Of Silence which features guest vocals from Chris Isaak. This is Jess & Matt's 4th entry on the chart and comes on the heels of their Top 10 hit from earlier in the year The Times They Are A-Changing (#6 21wks). Both are from their new album of covers which was released a couple of weeks ago. This isn't the first time The Sound of Silence has charted, it last appeared on the chart when Disturbed took it all the way to #2.


Keiynan Lonsdale makes his official chart debut this week with his new song Preach which lands at #45. Keiynan recently announced that he was stepping down from permanent acting duties on the variety of DC shows he has featured on to focus on his music career. He releases the track, hot off the heels of his role in Love, Simon and winning Best Kiss (with Nick Robinson) at the recent MTV Movie and TV Awards


The final debut belongs to Maddie Poppe, who makes her official chart debut  at #50 with her American Idol 'coronation' song Going Going Gone.

The Albums Chart

The score to Love, Simon spends a 4th consecutive week in pole position, while the greatest gainer belongs to Jess & Matt who leap up 3 spots to land at #3 giving them their 2nd Top 3 album on the charts.

2 albums debut this week on the chart. The first is another soundtrack which is prominently score. This time from the Japanese movie Mary and The Witch's Flower which debuts at #7. The 2nd debut belongs to Steve Grand who sees his new album Not The End of Me open at #9. Steve was last seen on the charts when he took his debut album all the way to #1. Will he be able to repeat with his sophomore album?
